How to be Proactive Drawing Customers To Your Enterprises

By Eugene Peterson

Drawing people to you in today’s waning economy is a necessary evil, if you want to make money, and have a profitable and thriving business. As market share decreases for your services, you MUST understand basic principles of how people come to you and how you can proactively draw them to you.

1. Word of mouth is a comfortable way people choose services. When a trusted friend endorses you, often you get the job. A buyer saves time searching, and minimizes risk by going on the recommendation of a friend.

2. Reputation is a bit different from the previous one, because the buyer may not have ever talked with someone that you have worked for.

3. Professional trade groups, associations or business affiliations are another source of work, both internally and externally. Join a group, then get active, join and work on a committee, meet people, become their friends.

4. Personal contact is represented in the daily face to face meetings that you have with others.

5. Advertising is how you become visible in the community. It does no good to be the greatest warrior, unless the village knows it. If you think these five marketing principles are out of your hands, think again. Grab your rudder and start steering your ship to get more control of where you are going..
