Construction Defect Center Now Urges Homeowners In the South Or Midwest Who Have A Atlas Chalet Shingle Roof To Call Them If Their Roof Has Failed

December 9 , 2013

The Construction Defect Center says, "Because according to court records Atlas is no longer making the Atlas Chalet shingle, many homeowners are now stuck with a complete replacement of their home's roofing shingles. Court documents allege Atlas Chalet roofing shingles began to blister within the first year of installation, and show significant loss of granulation, and these shingles had issues related to premature cracking." The Construction Defect Center is encouraging any homeowner who has the Atlas Chalet shingle on their home's roof to call them immediately at 866-714-6466, if the following has happened:

  • Loss of granulation on the Atlas Chalet roof shingle
  • The Atlas Chalet roof shingle has blistered
  • The Atlas Chalet roof shingle has cracked.

The Construction Defect Center is urging homeowners whose roof has Atlas Chalet shingles to contact them immediately at 866-714-6466, especially if the homeowner has unsuccessfully attempted to get the manufacturer replace this specific type of roof shingle-with no success, and especially if the home is located to the US Southeast, or Midwest.

What is a Atlas Chalet Shingle? According to court records, the Atlas Chalet shingle was supposedly created to provide an affordable shingle that has the eye appeal of the more expensive architectural shingle. The Atlas Chalet was a shingle that was manufactured to provide a dimensional appearance in a granule overlay shingle. It is not an “architectural shingle” but rather achieved this look by utilizing random color palettes in a double thickness and creating a shadow line. The result is a 3 tab shingle that provides the eye-appeal of an architectural shingle. The Construction Defect Center says,"If you are a homeowner with a roofing product called the Atlas Chalet shingle, and this specific type of roof shingle has started to crack, blister or curl, please call us immediately at 866-714-6466, and we will do our best to make certain you get to national caliber law firms that are working on the Atlas Chalet shingle litigation."
