May 2, 2011

Insurance Restoration Specialists, Inc. will host a Property Adjuster Safety Seminar on Thursday, May 12 at the companys headquarters in Monroe, New Jersey.

The event provides awareness training in regards to personal safety for property claims adjusters who are exposed to the on-site dangers of the insurance claims environment. Property adjusters typically enter into structurally compromised buildings and contaminated sites following a disaster or cataclysmic event.

Safety training is one of the most important things we do, said Tim Jarema, Chief Executive Officer of Insurance Restoration Specialists, Inc. The conditions that adjusters experience when entering buildings, facilities and properties after a disaster can be extremely volatile and dangerous, Jarema added.

Matthew Sheehy, Associate Professor of Architecture, Engineering and Construction from the New York University Shack School of Real Estate will be the featured speaker at the industry event.

Sheehy's affiliations include The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and the ISFE at MIT. His portfolio includes the Director of Facilities Management for Rockefeller Center Management Company and Manager of Facilities for C.B.S.

To register, please call Jonathan Jarema at (800) 634-0261. There is no cost for adjusters or other industry personnel to attend the event.
